Designing a Trade Show Exhibit

If you want to be successful in your trade show then make sure you have a well defined exhibit marketing plan. You must have clearly defined goals. What do you want to achieve through your trade-show? Are you participating to increase awareness about your brand or you are participating to get some new clients or there is some other reason. Whatever the reason you have, it must align with your strategic goals. You should develop your marketing plan at each stage of your event i.e. pre-event, at-event and post-event. Your budget is going to play a major role in deciding how much you can afford to promote your exhibits. Therefore it makes sense to determine your trade show budget in advance before participating.

Make sure that you participate in the right-trade show. A right-trade-show is that event which is relevant to your business product or service and which has potential of reaching your target market. So even before thinking of participating in any such event, ask yourself one question. Is it worth participating? Calculating ROI (Return on Investment) of an event is one of the basic principal of event marketing. Now comes the exhibit design decisions. They should also be taken in advance. Designing a trade show exhibit at the last minute can not only increase your construction cost but can also be detrimental for your marketing plan as it may not align with your marketing objective. Never make a design decisions without first evaluating what design options are available. Also book your exhibit space in advance, so that you don’t need to settle for some dark dodgy corner later.
